Orthomolecular therapist on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug
My personal health journey began at a young age after acute appendicitis. My teenage years were then dominated by chronic gut complaints and various mental and physical challenges. When I ended up in a burnout in my early twenties, I knew something had to change.
After countless tests within the regular system, which unfortunately did little to help me, I took the complementary path. With targeted changes in food and lifestyle, supplementation and a fair amount of self-study, my road to recovery began.
That experience sparked my passion for this work. I know how it feels when symptoms take over your life. But I also know how powerful it is when your body comes back into balance and you regain confidence in yourself.
What motivates me is helping clients discover the real cause of their symptoms. Gut complaints rarely stand alone; they are often a signal of underlying stress or an overloaded system.
I work from a holistic perspective in which body and mind are inseparably connected. By taking signals seriously and starting at the core, there is room for lasting recovery. Not only fewer symptoms, but also more resilience and confidence in your own body.
Outside work I am a mum of two wonderful children. I recharge best alone and in nature. A walk, yoga, breathwork or consciously slowing down helps me reconnect with myself. Dancing and social occasions are also a way for me to get out of my head and back into my body.
On top of that, personal development is an ongoing journey of discovery that gives me a lot of energy.
